The Hartz Gallery, located upstairs, has a comprehensive range of antique wood working machinery. An example is the treadle lathe, which dates back to 1815.
The complete range on display is all manually operated and has now been fully renovated.
The Centre holds approximately four exhibitions during the year in the Hartz Gallery. The Woodcraft Guild of Tasmania’s ‘Out of the Woods’ Exhibition is currently running until April 27th. This is a large range of craft pieces from Tasmanian Timbers from clocks and vases through to dining settings and beds.
The exhibits include displays works to items that are available for sale.
